چکیده

This study reports the high susceptibility of Propionibacterium acnes to four medicinal plants collected from western regions Saudi Arabia. Plant extracts were obtained by using methanol and acetone. The was tested agar well diffusion method. Plants interest, namely, Rhazya stricta, Azadirachta indica, Camellia sinensis Ocimum basilicum, exhibited good antibacterial activity with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values 50 mg/mL, 25 100 mg/mL respectively. maximum effect observed A. indica followed R. stricta. In addition, C. sinensis, O. basilicum had moderate activities. results show that these could be for use in skin care products prevent or improve acne.
